A general fly-in for all types of Radio Controlled models under 20Kg (BMFA B Certificate required for any models over 7.5Kg and all Jets) hosted by the Peterlee RMC and open to all BMFA members. In addition the sports field will be available for control line and free flight and “light” radio controlled models. BMFA Achievement Scheme Training & Testing Day hosted by the North East Area. If you have ever wanted to take one of the BMFA Achievement Scheme tests this is the event for you. We will have a number of Area Chief Examiners and Club Examiners available to offer coaching for those who want to take the first steps towards passing a BMFA “A” or “B” certificate, or if you feel ready to put you through the test. The format of the day will depend on the numbers attending but we will aim to give those present as much airtime as possible and can tailor the day to suit individual requirements. Club Examiner and C certificate tests can also be carried out but they must be notified in advance via the dedicated achievement scheme website http://www.achievements.bmfa.

Washington MFC indoor sessions are normally held on the second and fourth Saturdays each month, however due to the venue being unavailable they will be on the first and third Saturday until the end of December. We apologise for the clash of dates with the Peterlee RMC events that are on the same day, however for those that want a full day of flying it is possible to do both as they are at different times. Please check with the organiser before travelling to confirm the event is definitely on. Please note that their is a minimum charge of £5.00 for pilots to cover the cost of hiring the venue, should the numbers attending not cover the cost of the hall then the organisers reserve the right to increase this amount. There is no charge for spectators.
